Professor Carmelo Arnoldin’s Past and Present Techniques class’s Our Bodies Are Our Gardens mosaic mural will be permanently installed at the Scarborough Hospital on Thursday 12th February 2015. To create this mural, Arnoldin worked with Program Technologist John McCartney, third-year Art and Art History Work/Study student Nafiseh Emadmostofi and twenty-four Art and Art History students as a wish of good health to the patients in the hospital.

The mosaic mural pays homage to the multicultural east Toronto communities that the hospital serves. These communities are metaphorically represented in Our Bodies are our Gardens by a bouquet of medicinal herbal flowering plants from across the world.

The mural may be viewed over the next week in Sheridan Annie Smith studio in AS12.
