Visual Merchandising Arts collaborates with Square One for Merry & Bright Holiday Market

Visual Merchandising Arts students pose together under yarn installation at the Holiday Merry and Bright Market.

In an exciting collaboration with Square One, Sheridan’s Visual Merchandising Arts students Emily Blake, Emily Gordon, Brittany Arjune, Lan Song, Yvonne Yifeng, Shelby Keller, Taylor Moss, and Shaianne Jones were involved in all aspects of preparing the pop-up space for the Square One Merry & Bright Holiday Market 2018.

With support from faculty Diane Spiridoulias and Karen Kritzer, and technologist supports Scott Rogers, Louise Campbell and Rob Bailey, the students were involved in proposing ideas to vendors, developing designs, fabricating and sourcing materials for the window and vendor displays, as well as the installation. The “merry and bright” theme was brought to life by using vibrant colors of yarn as the main medium.

The market brings together local artisans and vendors, and it will be running from December 1 to December 24, 2018.
