Pictures of Sheridan Arts Open House For Those Who Missed It

The 2013 Arts Open House and Craft Sale was a wonderful event for newly accepted students and arts lovers from the general public to tour Sheridan’s studios, view exhibits of student art, purchase crafts and take in the magic of Sheridan College.

In the words of Lynne Murray, who played a lead role in co-ordinating this year’s Open House:

“There was a very positive energy at the college on Saturday during Arts Open House and Craft Sale. Visitors enjoyed the range of displays. The event highlighted our students and graduates. It shone a spotlight on them and their strengths and showed what they can offer the world.”

I spent my Saturday moving from studio to studio taking pictures, so that those of you who couldn’t make it on Saturday can still get a peek behind our studio doors into the life of a Sheridan art student. I hope you enjoy!

I also live tweeted about the event using the twitter hashtag #ArtsOpenHouse from @SheridanFAAD. Check out the feed here.

3D Design Students’ Installations in Pictures

Sheridan’s Trafalgar campus was even more creative than usual last week, when 3D design students set up artistic installations all around campus.

Other designs involved fortune telling owls and balloons, an adorable bunny, and mini men climbing the great Everest of Sheridan walls. Indeed, there is no limit to the entertainment we experience in the Faculty of Animation, Arts and Design at Sheridan College. Come join us at our Oakville campus, 1430 Trafalgar Rd., on Saturday May 27 for our Open House to experience Sheridan Arts for yourself.
