The musical Come From Away – developed and produced by Sheridan’s Canadian Music Theatre Project (CMTP) – is slated to make its Broadway debut in the spring of 2017. Junkyard Dogs Productions announced that it will stage the musical at Ford’s Theatre in Washington as part of their 2016-2017 season from September 2 to October 9, 2016, and will play for local audiences in Toronto as part of Mirvish Theatre’s 2016-2017 Subscription Series from November 15, 2016 to January 1, 2017.

The Festival is a culmination of a month-long workshop with the writers and creative teams. Sheridan’s fourth-year Bachelor of Music Theatre Performance students and several guest artists performed these various works.
