BEAC (Broadcast Educators Association of Canada) Awards – Journalism Broadcast student winners

The Broadcast Educators Association of Canada (BEAC) is honouring the outstanding work produced by students and recent graduates from colleges and universities from across the country. The categories are in radio, television/video, and new media which merged both creativity and technical excellence.

Sheridan Journalism Broadcast students won video awards in the Best Long Documentary and Best Short Documentary categories. Best Long Documentary produced by Chand sa Chehra, As beautiful as the Moon is an intimate and look into arranged marriages in the South Asian community in Canada.

Best Student Short Documentary produced by Ike Rai, Corin Thompson and Eddie Crampton, Life in a Cab gives us a glimpse of the life as an immigrant through the eyes of Toronto cabbie Paul Spanidis.
