Ubisoft managing director credits Sheridan in Sun article
In a recent article published in the Toronto Sun about Toronto as a new hub of talent and creativity in the gaming industry, managing director of Ubisoft Alex Parizeau acknowledged Sheridan’s role in the development.
’I think the first thing we noticed (in Toronto) was the thriving community of game developers that have been here a long time.’
The article goes on to quote Parizeau, who “gave credit to institutions such as Sheridan College ….. for training some of the most talented people in the industry.”
As Associate Dean of Animation and Game Design Angela Stukator notes, we are currently running two successful Gaming programs at Sheridan. Our Graduate Certificate Game Level Design is in its third year, and students work alongside their counterparts in Game Programming and Development in the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology. Our baccalaureate program Bachelor of Game Design is in its second year, with strong demand. We hope to graduate our first cohort in 2017.
