Sheridan Bachelor Programs Study Abroad @Italy Student Exhibition / 2017 Course Trip Information Session
This past May and June, 26 students from Bachelors programs in Illustration, Animation, Photography, Interior Design and Craft & Design participated in Sheridan Bachelor Programs @Italy, a unique study abroad opportunity. Currently on view in the A wing Showcase hallway is the process and production of their amazing efforts.
Based in Florence, the group explored the museums, pallazos, market places and private studios of Florence, Rome, Bologna and the Tuscan countryside before ending the 35 day adventure in Venice–investigating the historical heritage of the sights, but with an emphasis on the resulting contemporary and vibrant culture. Italian Art and Culture is a degree breadth elective directed by Clemente Botelho (BA Illustration) with co-faculty Tony Tarantini (BA Animation). Clemente has been organizing trips to Italy for Sheridan arts students since 2004. Over 275 FAAD students have received degree credits since the inception of @Italy.
An information session for the 2017 Course trip will be held Wednesday October 19 at 7:00 pm in Rm B124.
You can follow the program and related insights into the Italian experience through the group’s twitter feed @BAAItaly.
