Visual and Creative faculty member Bogdan Luca wins grand prize at SeeMe: Art Takes Miami 2018

Visual & Creative Arts faculty member Bogdan Luca is the grand prize winner of SeeMe: Art Takes Miami 2018, a competition that showcases the work of contemporary artists internationally. His work will be displayed at Art Basel Week by SCOPE: International Art Show in Miami Beach, Florida. The grand prize is a $10,000 award, including a $5,000 production allowance for the upcoming show at SCOPE Miami Beach that will run from December 4 – 9, 2018.

Bogdan won the award for his oil on canvas paintings, which focus on personal observations from his daily life and his dream state. The paintings visually combine the aesthetics of contemporary digital imagery with the tactile qualities of paint.
