Textiles faculty Amanda McCavour’s solo shows and artist residency at the Toronto Public Library

Honours Bachelor of Craft and Design: Textiles faculty Amanda McCavour has an exciting fall season ahead, with two solo shows and an artist residency at the Toronto Public Library, which is supported by the Toronto Arts Council Artists in the Library program.

As part of her artist residency at the Toronto Public Library, she will be using textiles to build engagement with the library collection. Through open studios, public workshops, and temporary installations, Amanda hopes to meaningfully engage with ideas around Do-It-Yourself culture, mending, recycling, sustainability, personal expression, skill-building, and fashion.

In addition, she currently has a solo exhibition Consumed by Clouds at the Kootenay Gallery of Art in British Columbia. It will be on display until November 2, 2019.
