Sheridan Welcomes Shanghai visitors to Trafalgar Campus

Summer is the time to tour our campuses. In July, the Faculty of Animation, Art and Design welcomed two groups of visitors from Shanghai to Sheridan. Composed of thirty Masters and Phd students from Shanghai University, China, the first group travelled overseas for a tour of Trafalgar Campus and SIRT (Strategic Partnerships & Screen Industries Research and Training Centre) to learn about the Canadian landscape of film and production. Maija Saari, Associate Dean of Film, Television and Journalism, led students through Sheridan’s facilities to demonstrate why we are a renowned member in the film, television and journalism industry.

Shanghai theatre students team up with Sheridan to create musical

Five interns from Sheridan’s Music Theatre program are currently working with five international Music Theatre Performance students from STA (Shanghai’s Theatre Academy) school to create a new musical for the CMTP (Canadian Musical Theatre Project). The musical is called Star Stuck, with music and lyrics by Kevin Wong, and book by Marty Chan. They will be work-shopping it until next Friday, July 24th.
